Of course I hope that Department of Homeland Security will stop its occupation and ethnic cleansing in Minnesota. But I don't want them to just move on from here to some other state and city, which seems like the only likelihood, given the funding structure as it stands now. I mean... what else are they going to do with all that money they've been given by the Republicans' big bogus bill?
They can keep buying human warehouses, of course. That should take a chunk of change.
But who will they be putting into those warehouses? There aren't that many "worst of the worst" immigrants in this country. And if they deport those people, who do they find to replace them with?
So while they continue the PARRIS program, which is intent on deporting vetted refugees, try to discontinue temporary protected status, and are ramping up plans to denaturalize citizens (!), nothing they say should be taken seriously.
This is a government of white supremacy and ethnic cleansing. As someone I read pointed out, the 100 million "illegal" immigrants that some on the right — probably Stephen Miller — have thrown around is a fantasy.
But that number does just about equal how many Black and other people of color there are in this country.
