A Command, Even Without a Comma

I was up in the far northwestern exurbs of the Minneapolis recently and saw this building with these signs. (I didn't get a chance to take a photo, but here's a rendering of it from the architectural firm that built it):

A suburban-style commercial building with two lit signs on either side of the front corner that read DIE TECHNOLOGY

Now, I know the name refers to dies as in tool and die, and that the way I'm reading it requires a comma.

But am I not correct in thinking that at least 90% of native English speakers would get the meaning "die, technology" from that name?
