I don't know when shoes that match the color of the woman wearer's feet became a thing, since I don't keep up on those kinds of things. Maybe if the shoes are paired with a full-length dress, it wouldn't be noticeable.
But when they're worn with a shorter skirt like this one on Trump's devotee Natalie Harp...

...it looks as though the foot is made with a pointed toe and a spike heel built in, as if the woman is a plastic doll. Which is probably the intention, but ugh.
As someone said in the BlueSky post where I saw this photo posted today, it's visual foot-binding.
