A Typeface Joke?

I recently saw an unused upright piano, and noticed its logo:

It's charming, of course, in its early 20th century design, but it's also odd that the name Clarendon is displayed in a blackletter style. Clarendon typefaces were popular by the late 19th century, and they look like this...

...which is about as far from the stylistic aspects of blackletters as you can get. 

I don't think the logo design on the piano is a typeface joke, but it might as well be.
