A Facebook friend posted this photo...
...with the words, "Happy Summer Solstice," plus some flower emojis.
Well, they are flowers, but every blossom I can see is a nonnative "wild" flower considered invasive or at least undesirable in wild places: crown vetch, orange hawkweed, and oxeye daisies. I might see some queen Anne's lace ready to open, too.
I didn't comment on her post. I'm not that big of a jerk. She doesn't read this blog, so this post is okay.
It's been so rainy and usually so cold, I forgot it was about to be the solstice, so I'm grateful for her post.
