I haven't yet fully come to grips with Republicans' announced Project 2025, written with the Heritage Foundation and other right-wing "thinkers." It's their set of policy promises related to climate change, essentially to destroy any progress the United States has made toward decreasing this country's greenhouse gas output.
It would reverse the many positive changes brought by the Inflation Reduction Act and gut the EPA. This Guardian article has more of its top-level details, like derailing grid deployment and amping up fossil gas infrastructure.
David Roberts (@drvolts) said about it on Twitter,
If we truly understood climate change and its implications, this [plan] would be viewed as sociopathic, an explicit endorsement of crimes on the scale of the 20th century's worst. But it our world, it's just an alternative "climate strategy."
Project 2025 is not an alternative strategy, and it shouldn't be covered that way by any media that are even partially objective. Electing Republicans has become a death sentence.
