It's always fun to see what a good illustration can add to a story. On Sunday the Star Tribune ran a New York Times story in the Science section about the possible negative effects of ultra-processed foods on brain health (both mental health and cognitive decline).
This is what in-house illustrator Nuri Ducassi did with it:

This art took up most of a full page on the front of the section, and it immediately grabbed my attention, leading me to read the story. In addition to the pithy concept, I admire the use of color on crappy newsprint. That's more of a challenge than is often acknowledged.
