Murals 2022

It occurs to me that I haven't yet posted images of the new murals that went up this summer and fall near me. As we just had our first, tentative snow fall, some were still finishing. I'm showing these in the order they were done, or are still being done.

Bios of most of the artists can be seen on the Chroma Zone website.

Rodrigo Oñate's mural along University Avenue is very long and full of details; this is just a few yards of it.

Part of the large mural by the collaborative group of women muralists known as Few and Far. This photo was taken midway through its completion; one of the artists, Thomasina TopBear is on the lift at left).

Another large mural, this one by Kada Goalen on Territorial Road. (Her bio is not on the Chroma Zone site.)

A detail from Joy Spika's under-the-sea mural on Wycliff Street.

Geno Okok's big wall, titled "Take the Leap of Faith."

Hibaaq Ibraham's colorful wall, next to Avalon School.

"Clubhouse City" by Jose Dominguez on Charles Ave.

"At the Center of Your Being" by Taylor Berman, on the side of the Dow Building along University Avenue.

"Bird Friend" by Jennifer Davis, painted onto the front of a gas station on Cleveland Avenue.

A collection of colorful cats by Black Daze along a retaining wall on Charles Ave.

"The Golden Aura" by Maia Lea Hartman tucked in, just off of University Avenue. (Photo by t#ra_n0va)

Still underway: Povi Marie's mural on Territorial Road.
