There is no drinkable water in Jackson, Mississippi, the state capital and a place with more than 150,000 residents, many of them African American. It looks like there will be no water for the foreseeable future.
The best place to donate, if you wish to, is Cooperation Jackson. There is an online method there, and also an address for checks.
Cooperation Jackson is a solidarity-economy organization that has been working there for years.
