My ventures into East Coast antique stores last week resulted in a few funky finds.
These Poultry Tribune magazines are not exactly funky, but there's a mismatch (at least in my head) between the agricultural topic ("America's Leading Poultry Magazine") and the highly graphic, art deco design.
Do you have any idea what this metal thingy is?
I didn't either. But then I leaned in closer and read the hand-written card. Here's what it said: "Antique Embalming Table — Original – Unique – Conversation Piece — $145.00."
And then there's this tacky pseudo-statue. Do you think its creator is aware that the man is about to chisel his own... destiny?
