More FAST Fiberglass

It has been a while since I mentioned FAST Signs (now called FAST Fiberglass) in Sparta, Wisconsin. I visited in 2009 and 2011, posting photos of the large fiberglass figures out in their fields, and even more of the many molds used to make the fiberglass figures.

The 2011 post featured a giant eyeball. This time, there weren't any stunners like that, and it was really, really hot out there. But here's what I found to share, despite the heat stroke.

These unpainted Yogi bears are one of the first things I saw.

The molds for a pair of giant boots were outstanding in their field. (Sorry.)

You get a sense of the scale of this giant traffic cone (and its mold), given the juxtaposition with a full-size pool slide to the right. I wonder who ordered this. I wanted to take it home.

This gorilla mold was lying on its back with its fist raised in the air. It was a like an inverse of the ending of Planet of the Apes.

And then there was the Muffler Man mold, also lying on his back with his hands in the air.

This one is a bit hard to see, but in the center there's a mold of the Cross. It's resting on the back of a cat mold, which is accompanied by a giant teddy bear, a snowman, and a bunch of Santa Clauses. Sort of a New Calvary scene.

This completed rocket boy appears to be ready to go. I wonder what it's going to be used for? Other finished or partially completed pieces are an ice cream cone, a big cat of some kind, and s turtle slide (complete with bathing cap).
