As the Line 3 pipeline comes close to completion in northern Minnesota, water protectors are walking to the Minnesota State Capitol to make one last appeal to the governor and others who have the power to stop the opening of the pipeline.
Starting today, people began to gather in the name of Treaties Not Tar Sands.
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow, August 24, everyone is invited to join Indigenous grandmothers from White Earth as they hold ceremonial space at the Capitol. The walkers arrive on Wednesday.
