I happened to see this illustration of several species of goldenrod on Twitter a few weeks ago:
The URL on the bottom leads you to liz.kozik.net, where you can find out about the work of Liz Kozik, who is both an illustrator and Ph.D. student in environmental studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. (Her undergrad degree is in printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design!)
As her site says, she focuses on the "culturo-scientific facets of ecological restoration in the American Midwest." She uses comics and social media to tell stories about prairie restoration: how, who, and when.
Liz has a shop with her prints, too.
