The problem in using this argument is when the disagreement is not over my own oppression, as is all too often the case. A more generalized version would be:
We can disagree and still love each other unless your disagreement is rooted in oppression of other people and denial of their humanity and right to exist.It still works, but the personalization makes it stronger.
