A Vox story today says it all in the headline: Elizabeth Warren is the favored VP pick among Democrats, and it's not close. A strong plurality of those polled both preferred her as a candidate and thought she would do the best job. How nice that those two things aligned!
On the "most ready" question, Warren was close to 30 percentage points ahead of the next possible candidate in the poll, Kamala Harris, though she was, notably, tied with both Harris and Stacey Abrams among Black voters.
One thing the poll didn't show was much of a gender split. While women were most strongly for Warren, it was only by 4 points.
So that's all very interesting but not very meaningful when it comes time to make the choice, which is basically how the article wraps up.
