Two Days Late, a Valentine

When I dug the mail out of the box yesterday, down at the very bottom I saw a small white piece of paper. It wasn't an envelope and I had to reach all the way in to get to it, since I have a vertically oriented mailbox.

When I retrieved it and flipped it over, this is what I saw:


It's a hand-painted Valentine from a friend and her family (there's a note on the back). I assume she dropped it off on Friday, but we didn't see it because it was down at the bottom of the box.

Needless to say, it was a nice surprise and it will soon be adorning my bulletin board.
