Neon Signs

Neon signs are one of those things that clearly don't need to exist, and they wouldn't exist if this were a sustainable world. They can't be part of an earth where billions of people live within their carbon means.

But I love them. Here's one I noticed for the first time yesterday:

As seen in the window of Cafe Biaggio, University and Raymond Avenues in St. Paul.

Pat, do you listen to 99% Invisible? They did a great episode about neon.

Frank O'Hara: "Neon in daylight is a / great pleasure, as Edwin Denby would / write."

I will listen to it. I like 99% Invisible, but usually don't manage to hear it... DN3.1 is always urging me to as well.
