Why Not a Good Cry?

Susan Perry reports on some interesting thoughts about the possible role of tears in human behavior, including some gendered aspects I hadn't thought of before. (Did you know that male tear ducts are larger than female ones, so they overflow less easily?)

But mostly she's discussing the ruminations of researchers who wonder why humans cry for emotional reasons when other animals (who cry from pain) do not.

A good read.
