Consumer Choice

A succinct letter from today's Star Tribune:

Conservatives oppose a public option for health insurance because they believe in the free market and consumer choice. Conservative politicians must stop Democrats from introducing a public option because wherever such programs have been introduced, they've been incredibly popular.

Am I the only one who sees irony (and finds humor) in this?

Did you see Michele Bachmann's public prayer on TV? She trying to get God on her side to make the Senate Health bill fail. I'm sure there's little doubt (in her mind)that God's a Republican and places higher value on the big shots who build big churches than on those who try to provide health care, food and shelter for the lowly.
We need a Christmas miracle to fall on Bachmann's head--or heart!
