One World, One Ocean

Today I am avoiding the news by looking at this projection of the Earth that unifies the oceans instead of focusing on the land masses:

The BlueSky post where I saw it said:

Every map slices the ocean apart to keep the land whole. This one does the opposite: on the Spilhaus projection, every ocean on Earth is one connected body of water, with a year of real satellite-tracked currents flowing across it. Data: NASA OSCAR + NOAA OISST
