As I've stood along a state highway demonstrating in front of a Tesla showroom for most of the Saturdays since mid-February, I've noticed that the drivers of a particular type of vehicle are by far the most likely to give us the finger or yell at us.
If you need to guess what general category that type of vehicle falls into, this is a hint:
Some of my fellow demonstrators were just commenting on their assessment of this fact two days ago. I didn't bring it up, I swear.

The bloated pickup truck really does perfectly represent the US right now. It's "powerful," in a blundering, thoughtless way that hurts innocent bystanders, but it's antiquated, fits poorly in modern cities, and above all *screams* defensiveness and overcompensation.
I just smile and wave at the angry drivers and hope they don't run us down.
