Naming the Companies

Today I learned, via Dr. Genevieve Guenther @doctorvive.bsky.social, that

these are the companies that we must force governments to dismantle if our kids are going to have a mostly habitable planet:

I hear all the time, here in the West, about four of the five in the bottom chart. (I've never heard of TotalEnergies, but Wikipedia tells me it's the French equivalent of the others on the orange chart.)

But I never hear about any of the five in the red chart and their much more significant output. The closest one hears is reference to "the Saudis" as oil producers, which I suppose is the same thing as Saudi Aramco.

Interesting how invisible they are in American media.
