I don't make a habit of looking under bridges, but just after the Chroma Zone mural festival, I happened to see some of the unauthorized works painted under the Pelham Bridge in Saint Paul (and on the sides of some rail road freight cars nearby):
Knowing now that many muralists come by their skills from the world of graffiti, and that "the freights" have a special place in the hearts of Midwestern graffiti artists... I now see these pieces differently than I would have before.
(And I also know that the vertical streaking you see in the last three examples is because it must have rained within a few hours of when the letters were painted.)
