I groaned this morning when I heard NPR report that the dignitaries attending the Copenhagen climate change summit have hired 1,200 private limousines, using all of the limos in Denmark and requiring that more be driven in from Germany and Swedem.
Not to mention that most of the people at the conference had to fly there. Of course, there are levels of disregard for the environment when it comes to flying, too.
New York's Michael Bloomberg, mayor of the lowest-carbon city in the U.S., got to Copenhagen on one of his private jets, as described in the About New York column in the New York Times on Monday and reposted with commentary on Lost City.
