Has anyone else noticed how Barack Obama's verbal mannerisms have been replicated by a lot of other people speaking on television and radio these days?
It's particularly true of other members of the administration, such as the secretary of Housing and Urban Development who was on NPR last Sunday morning talking about foreclosures.
Look, I know I complain a lot about how words get strung together. But let me be clear: This kind of verbal Simon Says gets irritating pretty fast.

Don't know if it's an Obama-ism, but a verbal tic I've been noticing is the repeated use of the word, "Basically."
