Door to Nowhere, Bridge to Somewhere

I'm out and about a bit more than usual -- visiting San Francisco.

So yes, that is the Golden Gate Bridge through the open door. This is shot from inside the exercise yard on Alcatraz. I learned about the American Indian occupation of the island from 1969 to 1971 and looked at the cool gardens that are maintained by volunteers. They sure can grow different plants in California than we can in Minnesota.
