Today I am happy that the U.K Court of Appeals ruled the third runway at Heathrow cannot be built.
Why? Because, duh, it's completely counter to the government's stated plans to decrease carbon output, in keeping with its signature on the Paris Climate Accord.
NPR's story has the gist of it. 700 additional planes would use an additional runway if it were built.
