Trash, the Patriarchy

I was in a unisex restroom at a Saint Paul coffeeshop today and saw this graffiti on the paper towel dispenser:


Disregarding the big Peso tag, I zeroed in on the small, neatly lettered "!!! TRASH THE PATRIARCHY" line.

I wondered if the writer was aware that the giant paper company Georgia-Pacific is owned by Koch Industries, which I imagine the writer and I would agree is part of the patriarchy.

And that the paper towel dispenser is by definition putting out trash.

I kept wanting to repunctuate the sentence, adding a comma to change "trash" from a verb to a noun. But it works both ways.
