While at my favorite bookstore recently, I noticed a little booklet near the registers.
The store always has enticing items in that area. I do my best not to buy them. This time I took a photo:
The author is, of course, the Episcopal Bishop of Washington, who found herself in the national spotlight around the time of Trump's inauguration. This is the text of her sermon that day.
I had never heard the sermon's title before reading it here.
They make beautiful little booklets. I have the one with James Baldwin's words from his debate with William F. Buckley.
ReplyDeleteI bought mine at 57th St. Books in Chicago, the less scholarly partner store of the Seminary Co-op. Also up at the register, unmistakably positioned to be an impulse purchase.
