D.C. Facts

Radley Balko brings the receipts in detail to show what crime is or isn't like in Washington, D.C.

As all those of us who live in something close to reality know, stopping crime is not why the Trump regime is trying to turn D.C. (and probably other blue cities) into a police state. 

But it's still useful to have some facts to bring if you have to confront a MAGA relative or "friend."

None of what they say is true, and often anti-true: such as the way their federal funding cuts have undermined local funding that reduces crime. 

I just found out there will be Fight the Trump Takeover protests this Saturday. Not many are set up yet — this has just been announced. I have to go to a family reunion that day (o joy, relatives). I may need some of these facts. Thank you, Radley Balko.

Overall: –4 to –22

Some of the larger shifts:

Hispanic: –26 to –43
Asian: –4 to –35
18–29: –16 to –33
30–49: –10 to –31
No college: +8 to –15
