Dan Bebber, an associate professor of ecology in the Department of Biosciences at the University of Exeter, posted four of his close-up photos of red cabbage that look like snowflakes.
Since December 21, his tweet has been liked about 33,000 times and retweeted close to 4,000 times.
Bebber says he mainly works on fungal plant pathogens, but now he is a "red cabbage artist, it seems."
To see the fourth one, you will have to visit his Twitter post.
Remember, red cabbage can also be used for dyeing eggs.
