A Moment's Thought

It is so odd (unsatisfactory adjective) to be here at home, as stressful as it is to be working remotely to to save parts of my community that are falling apart because of the pandemic—but personally safe, I think—while reading about people dying. A state rep here, a 5-month-old baby there. Or John Prine intubated.

Meanwhile, Mafia Mulligan spins out of control and no one stops him.

As we drove down Hennepin Ave. this afternoon on the way to Walgreens to pick up my refill, Julie commented that the streets looked "dystopian." I knew what she meant. She thought there should be military patrolling or something. Zombies, maybe. It was strange, surreal. Today was the first time I'd been out since everything but essential businesses closed. Not quite a ghost town because of the cars traveling with us on the street. But traffic was nothing on Hennepin compared to "Before CV."
