Making Something

Today I am avoiding the outrage of Trump's Interior Department overruling Minnesota's right to say no to mining on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area and his racist, fear-mongering statements about Haitians and Nigerians.

It's December 23rd, and today we hosted Lego Saturday at our house. Here are the creations we made.

Two houses and a mission/Greek temple.

A skyscraper, a tree house, a dune buggy, and an airplane with hangar.

Daughter Number Three-Point-One made the mission/temple. (She was going for temple but then realized the bell tower wasn't very Greek.)

Detail of the courtyard, garden, stream, and walkway.

Creation and joy in the face of this seemingly unending destruction and hate.
