Honey Badger Do Care — About Freedom

I love the honey badger (who famously "don't care") as much as the next person, and this new video about a honey badger escape artist is mostly fun to watch:


But does anyone else wonder why this guy has to keep the honey badger confined in the first place? Clearly, the animal wants to be free.

It's a fine moment of motivated reasoning when the keeper interprets the badger's behavior as him taking on a challenge, rather than him desperately attempting to escape captivity.
