A Better Mouse Trap: Painter's Tape Edition

A trip to the paint store is always good for photos of products with names you'd think would be bad for business:


This painters' tape is actually strips of paper with a line of urethane gel along the edges. The gel fills all of the little irregularities on the surface, preventing paint from getting onto the adjacent surfaces.

I gather the green gel is kind of like snot, at least in the minds of the marketers. And so the product is aptly named, appealing to kids, and maybe even to the kid in everyone.

Though I'm still not sure I want it on my woodwork.
