Food on Wheels

I learned from today's Star Tribune that St. Paul has a Twin Cities Mobile Market, a refurbished city bus that's a moving produce store. It was created by the Wilder Foundation and funded through an Indiegogo campaign in spring 2014.

It operates year-round and offers as much local, in-season produce as possible, plus meats, dairy products and staples like rice and dried beans. The Strib article doesn't give a good idea of where you can find the market on any particular day, so here's the map and schedule from the Wilder site.

Right now they're raising money for a second bus, which would serve Minneapolis.
