There is no surge in illegal immigration

Despite what you might have heard on cable news shows, there is no massive wave of illegal immigration threatening our borders. The number of immigrants apprehended while crossing illegally is actually down 64 percent from 10 years ago, according to a new study that seeks to put the immigration data into context—and the numbers only are ticking up now because Border Patrol is becoming more effective
