More Lousy Book Covers

It's been almost a year since I checked in with Lousy Book Covers. The pain continues.

The weirdest thing about this asymmetrical failure is that it claims to have an introduction and annotations by Robert Pirsig, author of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.

Several of the covers that made me laugh the hardest made no visual connection between their titles and the dominant image:

Others were just over-the-top incompetent:

The attempt to trademark the Roman numeral IIII is what convinced me on this one. Does the author not know that it should be written as IV, or does s/he think writing the number incorrectly makes it possible to trademark it?

This one looks like it was created by a computer left to its own devices. Including the title's wording and the stray number one at top left. Oh, and is that an author's name at the bottom? Hard to tell.
