We've finally stumbled into autumn here in Minnesota. There may even be a low temperature below freezing this weekend. Here are three other signs of the season:
The native climbing plant, Virginia creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia), changes into amazing colors. Here, there's almost a full range in one spot from regular green to darkest red.
It's hard to decide if that's better than when it's at its brightest red.
