This is one of those errors that's hard to understand. The headline writer must be new to the area... or for all I know, s/he isn't even in the area (perhaps the Star Tribune has outsourced its copy editing to warmer climes).
For those not from these parts, the Pohlad name is familiar to most Minnesotans over the age of 20 because the family patriarch, Carl Pohlad, owned the Minnesota Twins for decades. His name was in the Strib almost daily for years. He died just in 2009 at the age of 93.
