Last week, MinnPost's David Brauer reported that Star Tribune political cartoonist Steve Sack was one of the Strib staffers newly "eligible" for a buyout. While I can't say I've been a constant fan of Sack's work, I think it would be damned odd to have a daily paper without a political cartoonist. (Oh, wait, make that two daily papers -- the PiPress got rid of Kirk Anderson several years ago.)
No word yet on whether Sack will take the buyout offer, but here's hoping he doesn't.
