America the Beautiful

I just saw the documentary America the Beautiful by Darryl Roberts.

It follows the story of a girl named Gerren Taylor, who hit it semi-big on the edges of super-modeldom at the age of 12. Interspersed with her rise and inevitable fall as she grows from a size o to a 2 or 4, we see other stories about cosmetic surgery nightmares, hear about what's in cosmetics and listen to fashion magazine editors explain that they just can't change the images in their magazines (it's all capitalism's fault).

If you get a chance to see it, it's well worth it.
