Another Egghead for President

"My definition of a free society is a society where it is safe to be unpopular." -- Adlai Stevenson

Off and on again, I contemplate what it means to be free -- what liberty means. It's too easy for it to devolve into "I can do what I want when I want to," which sounds a bit selfish and even consumerist, in many ways.

So that's why the Adlai Stevenson quote appeals to me. And I feel good to know that Michele Bachmann is perfectly safe... Not safe in her House seat (I hope) but personally safe.
