Now I know that wildlife art is not my thing, but the idea of painting a jumping fish onto a crystalline jumping fish was just a bit more than I could handle.
It's a fish. With a fish painted on it.
I couldn't help squinting at the smaller fish painted on the body of the larger fish to see if there was yet another fish painted on that fish's body, and then another even tinier fish painted on that fish's body, and so on. (This was probably a throwback to my fascination with the recursive artwork on the Land O' Lakes butter box of my childhood.)
As the copy notes, "Sparkling crystalline provides the ideal 'canvas' for Agnew's bold artistry.... It's certain to be a prized 'catch' by avid anglers everywhere!" $29.95 plus $6.99 shipping and handling. The edition is limited to 95 cutting days. Wonder how many of these they can make in a cutting day.
