It's Greek to Me

I saw this at a garage sale recently:

Worn paperboard box with word SPHYGMOMANOMETER on it
I admit I had no idea what that incredible word meant, but was soon informed that it's a blood pressure meter.

Sheesh. Why didn't you just say so?

    It must be pretty old because there's
    no Zip code on the address. That does not speak well of it's reliability. (As I remember, Zips began in the late 60's.)
