Moving into the 21st Century

I caught a glimpse of the post-oil world today while driving along the edge of downtown Minneapolis: more than half a dozen bicyclists, each pulling a trailer loaded with someone's belongs.

A series of bicycles pulling trailers with the contents of a house on them, including mattresses
They were helping a friend move from one home to another, I assume. I saw lamps, boxes, and on the final trailer above a mattress and box spring set. That probably qualifies as a extrawide load in the bike world.

The first biker was hauling a futon sofa and futon.

But the prize possession was clearly this vintage sign, which filled a trailer. (Yes, that is the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome with its deflated roof in the background.)

Further confirmation that Minneapolis is, indeed, the number one city for bicyclists in the U.S.
